Job Summary
Conduct individual, small group, and large group programs while attending outings and celebrating resident events. Engage residents in intellectual, physical, spiritual, social, recreational, and special programs tailored to their backgrounds. Assist with resident meal service, develop the community program calendar and newsletter, and recommend supplies. Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program and ensure resident rooms and common areas remain clean and safe. Respond promptly to resident, family, and guest requests while performing other assigned duties. Work 9am-5pm with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Able to stand or walk 75% of the day
- Able to drive
- Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions
- Able to work under stress and in emergency situations
- Able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping
- Able to talk and hear effectively in order to convey instructions and information to residents and team members
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Must in company uniform and resident ready at all times
- 9am-5pm, rotating weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a Memory Care environment preferred
- Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
