MBCx Energy Analyst II

Job Summary
Monitor client buildings and systems through ENFRA Connect and FDD tools on a recurring basis to identify operational faults in HVAC and building automation systems. Analyze trend and historian data to diagnose root causes of mechanical, control, and sequence-related issues, then serve as the primary contact for assigned clients by communicating findings and corrective actions. Conduct regular meetings to review open issues, explain technical details in accessible terms, and present actionable recommendations alongside expected energy and reliability impacts. Track fault resolution status, quantify cost savings from corrections, and prepare periodic findings reports for stakeholders. Collaborate with engineers on complex cases, support rule customization to improve detection accuracy, and maintain organized system documentation. Work with minimal supervision in a team environment, with 5-10% travel time required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment
- Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary
- 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location
- Climbing stairs
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Quiet environment
- Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering Intern (EI) licensure
- CEM, CMVP, CEP, CEA, EEP, or BEP certifications through the Association of Energy Engineers or equivalent
- Experience with energy efficiency programs
- Experience in analyzing utility data
- Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, or R
