MBCx Energy Analyst II

Job Summary
Monitor client buildings and systems through ENFRA Connect and FDD tools on a recurring basis to identify operational faults in HVAC and building automation. Review flagged faults and rules output to diagnose root causes using trend and historian data, then serve as the primary contact for assigned clients by communicating findings and corrective actions. Conduct regular meetings to explain root causes, develop actionable recommendations, and track fault resolution status with field technicians. Prepare periodic findings reports, quantify energy savings, and support rule customization within the FDD platform. Collaborate with engineers on complex cases and maintain organized documentation of building systems and equipment inventories.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment
- Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary
- 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location
- Climbing stairs
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Quiet environment
- Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering Intern (EI) licensure
- CEM, CMVP, CEP, CEA, EEP, or BEP certifications through the Association of Energy Engineers or equivalent
- Experience with energy efficiency programs
- Experience in analyzing utility data
- Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, or R
