Job Summary
Provide technical direction and execute Maven data exploitation workflows for EO imagery in support of DoD IC missions. Integrate emerging sensors and platforms into Maven/IOC workflows, develop data pipelines and metadata schemas, and pre-process imagery (including tiling, format conversion, and geospatial boundary handling) to align with defined ontology standards for labeling and model development. Collaborate with SAR Imagery Scientist to deliver coincident EO imagery, assess differences in sensor characteristics, metadata, and data formats, and ensure data integrity and security considerations across ingestion pipelines. Proficient with processing tools (Python, MATLAB, Google Earth Engine) and apply image quality metrics and NIIRS concepts; able to communicate capabilities of EO imagery to diverse audiences. Requires TS/SCI clearance with willingness to pursue a CI Poly in the future. Location-centric responsibilities include Springfield, VA (primary) and St. Louis, MO (secondary).
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance
- willingness to take CI Poly in the future
- 4+ years as an EO expert
- experience with EO imagery and exploitation
- experience with image processing tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Google Earth Engine)
- strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- understanding of remote sensing principles and exploitation methods
