Job Summary
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within the plant, yard, or work site using a forklift, dolly, wheelbarrow, or crane. Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs clean-up activities while tracking all material for each job. Visually inspects received materials in all-weather conditions to verify conformance to specifications and coordinates the flow of materials between departments according to production schedules. Compiles and maintains records such as material inventory and in-process production reports. Works under immediate supervision while complying with all safety and project rules.
Required Qualifications
- May require a high school diploma or its equivalent
- previous years of related experience
- Experience working with pipe commodity
- Experience with identifying fittings, flanges, valves commodity
- Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted
- Ability to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl or talk and hear
- Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors
- Ability to operate a forklift and other light equipment
- Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. at times
