Job Summary
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within the plant, yard, or work site using a forklift, dolly, wheelbarrow, or crane. Arranges on-site transfer of materials and equipment to meet production schedules and coordinates flow between departments. Visually inspects received material in all-weather conditions and verifies conformance to specifications. Tracks all material for each job, compiles inventory records, and performs clean-up and housekeeping activities. Works under immediate supervision while complying with all safety rules. Requires ability to lift up to 25 lbs, operate multi-level stair towers, and work day or night shifts with a 10% differential.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted
- Ability to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl or talk and hear
- Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors
- Ability to operate a forklift and other light equipment
- Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required
- Experience working with pipe commodity
- Experience with identifying fittings, flanges, valves commodity
- High school diploma or its equivalent and previous years of related experience
Desired Qualifications
- Receiving and/or Forklift experience, a plus
