Job Summary
Deliver tailored sessions using the Compass learning platform, facilitating progress through questioning, scaffolding, and stretching for small groups of six. Build meaningful relationships with children aged 4–16, supporting them through the national curriculum, 11+ entrance exams, and GCSE preparation. Maintain a safe, inspiring environment where learners can take risks and develop a lifelong love of learning. This permanent, part-time on-site role at the Whiteley centre requires a minimum of six hours weekly across two weekdays, with shifts available Tuesday through Friday and Saturday mornings. You must be 16 or older, hold UK work rights, and possess GCSE grade 6 or above in Maths and English.
Required Qualifications

- Right to work in the UK
- Grade 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level or equivalent
- Acceptance of predicted GCSE grades if results received within the next 3 months
- Commitment to building meaningful, long-term relationships
- Confidence leading sessions with small groups (1:6)
- Ability to inspire children to engage in their learning
- Use of positive behaviour management strategies
- Consistent prioritisation of children's safety and wellbeing
- Comfort supporting children aged 4–16 across the national curriculum
- Knowledge of 11+ entrance exams
- Knowledge of GCSE content
- Ability to deliver tailored sessions using Compass

- Understanding that omissions, inconsistencies or misleading information in employment history may result in rejection, offer withdrawal, or dismissal
- Understanding that the role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant disclosures will be required
