Job Summary
Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum, utilizing adopted texts and technology resources to achieve state standards. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that adapt to individual pupil needs, incorporating requirements from student IEPs and setting specific weekly objectives. Monitor academic progress, design assessments to inform ongoing instruction, and employ differentiated techniques as needed. Establish classroom behavior standards and maintain a respectful learning environment conducive to student growth. Communicate with parents regarding academic expectations and collaborate with staff to support struggling learners. Complete all state mandated trainings and professional development annually while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with State and Federal law.
Required Qualifications
- New Jersey Instructional Certification in the appropriate subject matter and level
- Successful Criminal History Clearance
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
- Proof of US Citizenship or appropriate work authorization
- Proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System
