Job Summary
The Mathematics Teacher at Detroit Cristo Rey will prepare for classes, submit weekly lesson plans, and lead parent-teacher conferences. Responsibilities include maintaining discipline in the classroom, utilizing online grading systems, and offering extracurricular activities. The teacher will track and communicate student performance, collaborate with other teachers, and attend faculty meetings. A Bachelor’s Degree in the subject matter and Teacher’s Certification are required, along with good communication and interpersonal skills, and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum, in subject matter
- Teacher’s Certification
- Experience with High School Classroom environment (or equivalent)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Highly Qualified status preferred
- Experience with High School Classroom environment (or equivalent)
- Sensitivity to the ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds of the student body
- Proficient in MS Office and experience with Student Database systems
