Job Summary
Mathematics Teacher/Coach responsible for developing and administering a mathematics curriculum aligned with district goals; delivering engaging lessons on topics including arithmetic, calculus, trigonometry, geometry and algebra; designing learning activities to apply math to real-world problems; assessing student progress and modifying instruction to meet diverse needs; maintaining records and communicating with parents; ensuring alignment with Connecticut and district standards; coordinating with colleagues and participating in professional development; travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required; Texas certification required and a Bachelor's degree in education; teaching at the middle/high school level (7-12) with appropriate license; the role involves classroom instruction, curriculum development, and student assessment while supporting parental involvement and standards compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Texas Certification as a Mathematics Education Teacher(7-12th Grade)
- Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation
- Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred
