Job Summary
Facilitate student learning through mentoring and individualized strategies while collaborating to cultivate an inclusive, culturally responsive environment. Design and revise curriculum through an equity-minded, antiracist lens, ensuring content eliminates barriers and fosters lifelong engagement. Engage in college committees to support continuous improvement using assessment data to close equity and performance gaps. Teach between 3 and 12 credits per semester in modalities ranging from in-person to online or hybrid.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree with a major in mathematics or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in mathematics
- Must meet minimum qualifications for faculty credentialing in Mathematics
- Must be able to accept work in the U.S. by the day employment begins
- Must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Experience integrating simulation-based learning technologies into curriculum
- Teaching experience at the postsecondary level, preferably at a two-year college
- Prior on-line experience using D2L Brightspace platform or equivalent information management system
- Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction and continuous improvement
- Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and peers
- Experience in curriculum development at the professional level
- Effective planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual/multilingual in Spanish, Somali, French, Hmong, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities
