Math Tutor (Part Time, In Person)

Plans and facilitates collaborative math tutoring sessions for elementary, middle, and/or high school students under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development. Meets regularly with the Director of Educational Development and plans and facilitates group and/or 1:1 math tutoring sessions. Assists students in developing study skills, completing homework and projects, and exploring topics of interest. Maintains consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development. Models appropriate academic and social behaviors. Requires ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, responsibility, discretion, and flexibility. Requires knowledge of academic content and skills, ability to apply tools to help students access material, and ability to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction. Ability to work independently using critical thinking and problem solving to address various situations.
