Job Summary
Part-time Math Tutor at Mathnasium of Wauconda teaching and reinforcing foundational math skills using the Mathnasium MethodTM for Kindergarten through 12th grade students. Responsibilities include in-center tutoring, collaborating with team to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, assessing student understanding, and becoming proficient with daily processes. Benefits include paid training, curriculum/tools provided, opportunities for advancement after 30 days, and flexible hours (Mon-Thu 3:00-7:00pm; Sun 1:00-4:00pm). Franchisee employer structure noted; Mathnasium centers are independently owned and operated.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for math and helping others
- Ability to work on a team
- Eagerness to learn
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
- Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
- Available a minimum of 8 hours per week during instruction hours
- 16 years or older
- Availability year round (not summer-only)
- Work authorization
- Background check
- Math literacy test
