Job Summary
Lead tutoring sessions for K-3 students in groups of up to three, conducting skill assessments and entering scores into data software. Track student progress, meet regularly with the on-site coach, and follow a schedule to ensure consistent support. Encourage and celebrate student growth while committing to your own development through coaching and training. Dependable, fluent in English, and 18+ with a high school diploma required. Positions run August 2026–May 2027 for 35 hours per week (part-time 25 hours available). Math Corps has helped over 91,000 students through its AmeriCorps program.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to succesfully complete a background check
