Job Summary
Lead tutoring sessions for K-3 students in groups of up to three, conducting skill assessments and entering scores into data software. Manage daily schedules to ensure students receive consistent support, then guide them back to their classrooms for the next group. Track student progress by meeting regularly with the on-site coach and commit to your own growth through coaching and training. Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive while celebrating their progress. This role supports Math Corps' mission to improve skills for over 91,000 students through AmeriCorps service.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to succesfully complete a background check
