Job Summary
Mathnasium of Carrollwood (Tampa) seeks part-time Math Tutor/Instructor to teach students in 2nd–12th grade using the Mathnasium Method. Responsibilities include developing rapport, creating a positive, engaging learning environment, supervising and motivating students, rewarding mastery, evaluating and documenting progress, and communicating student needs to the Center Director. Training and all instructional tools are provided; no lesson planning or prep is required. Flexible after-school and weekend hours with opportunities for advancement; required steps include a math literacy test, work authorization, and a background check.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for math and working with students
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and be trained
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
- Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
- Must take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check
