Job Summary
Lead tutoring sessions for groups of up to three students, conducting skill assessments and entering scores into data software. Track student progress by meeting regularly with the school's on-site coach and follow a schedule to ensure consistent support. Commit to personal growth through coaching and training while encouraging student confidence and celebrating their achievements. Serve as a caring adult focused on helping children thrive, sharing your experience with the community. This role supports Math Corps' mission to improve math skills for over 91,000 students through AmeriCorps service.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to succesfully complete a background check
