Job Summary
Lead tutoring sessions for groups of up to three students, conducting 20–30 minutes of math practice daily and returning students to their classrooms. Track student progress through skill assessments and enter scores into data software while meeting regularly with the school's on-site coach. Commit to personal growth through coaching and training, and share your experience with the community. Positions run August 2026–June 2027 for 35 hours per week during daytime Monday–Friday hours. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive biweekly stipends and education awards. Math Corps, administered by Ampact, has helped over 91,000 students through its high-impact tutoring program.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to succesfully complete a background check
