Job Summary
The Math Teacher fulfills the Catholic school mission by guiding, inspiring, and educating students in a Christ-centered environment. The teacher is responsible to the principal for implementing policies of the school and Archdiocese of San Antonio, developing lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum, using technology to strengthen teaching, assessing student learning, and supporting extracurricular activities. Responsibilities include upholding Catholic education philosophy, modeling Gospel values, safeguarding confidentiality, adhering to safety protocols, maintaining professional communications with parents and staff, participating in staff development, and collaborating with colleagues to meet instructional goals in accordance with Texas Education Agency/Department of Catholic Schools guidelines. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, relevant state certification/education coursework, proficiency with educational technology, and successful completion of Safe Environment and fingerprint screenings. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid, appropriate state certificate
- Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening
- Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening
