Math Teacher (Special Education)

Teach Mathematics to students in Special Education, aligning instruction with Pennsylvania standards. Develop rigorous lesson plans aligned to state/district standards, drive instruction through formative assessment and differentiation, and maintain a safe, organized classroom that supports independent learning and collaboration. Utilize a variety of instructional and management techniques, administer assessments to inform planning, foster a positive classroom environment, and communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and the community. Engage parents/guardians in students' education, participate in staff meetings and extracurricular activities, pursue professional growth with administrators, and maintain professional appearance and responsibilities. Uphold non-discriminatory practices and perform other duties as assigned. Specialized teaching assignments may require additional training or certification; must pass fingerprint/background checks; may require lifting heavy materials, working outside normal hours, and travel to perform work functions.
