Job Summary
The Math Teacher will plan, organize and implement standards-aligned mathematics instruction in a California classroom, develop personalized instructional plans, collaborate with instructional staff, assess student progress, and support diploma completion and post-secondary transition goals. Responsibilities include delivering engaging instruction, setting learning objectives, using varied instructional strategies, differentiating to meet diverse student needs (including English Learners and students with 504/Special Education plans), maintaining records and communicating with students, parents, and colleagues, administering diagnostics, and participating in professional development and school initiatives to improve student achievement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California Single Subject or Multiple Subject credential
- English Learner Authorization
- Bachelor's degree with major or minor in designated subject, including all courses needed to meet credential requirements
- Enrollment in a State approved teachers preparation program and student teaching
- Successful passing of the California Basic Skills Exam
- Proficient in MS Word
- Intern eligible
