Job Summary
Plan and deliver engaging Pre-Algebra lessons aligned with state standards, covering integers, fractions, decimals, ratios, geometry, and introductory probability. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs while utilizing technology, manipulatives, and real-world applications to enhance student understanding. Assess progress through formative and summative evaluations, maintain accurate records, and foster an inclusive classroom environment. Communicate regularly with parents and collaborate with faculty to promote student achievement. Participate in professional development and school events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Strong knowledge of Pre-Algebra and middle school mathematics standards
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or Mathematics
- Previous experience teaching middle school mathematics
