Math Teacher

Math Teacher responsible for teaching mathematics to grades 5-12. Responsibilities include designing and implementing instructional objectives and activities, conducting classroom instruction and tutoring, assessing student performance to determine need for re-instruction, creating a supportive learning environment, prioritizing tasks for efficient use of time, identifying and mitigating potentially harmful situations, providing guidance on educational and career options, serving as an advocate and liaison between students, parents, and community agencies, and collaborating with professional staff to design standardized curriculum and testing/assessment designs. Requires knowledge of curriculum design principles, learning theory, varied instructional strategies, and strong communication and listening skills.
