Job Summary
Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with students' individual needs, interests, and abilities. Establish a classroom atmosphere that encourages active learning and guide the process by setting clear goals for lessons, units, and projects. Regularly assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instructional strategies to meet learning needs while identifying challenges and collaborating with specialists. Maintain effective communication with colleagues, students, and parents, and enforce school policies and classroom rules in a fair and equitable manner. Work collaboratively to foster responsible, mature citizens within a nurturing environment. Full-time role on a 196-day work calendar in Flagstaff, AZ, with a salary range of $45,785-$79,317 based on experience. Requires a Bachelor's Degree and valid Arizona Teaching Certificate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
- Current Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance card
- Demonstrated ability to effectively instruct and engage students
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting educational materials, writing reports, and presenting information clearly
- Capability to calculate and apply mathematical concepts relevant to classroom activities
- Ability to address and adapt to various instructional scenarios with practical problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and navigate around the school campus
