Job Summary
Teach middle school mathematics (grades 6-8) in alignment with district curriculum and Connecticut standards; develop and deliver engaging lessons; differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners; assess student learning and provide timely feedback to students and families; foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Requires Valid Connecticut Certification (029 Mathematics) or NY equivalent and will start in August 2026 under an NFEA contract; submit online application with transcripts, certification, and references.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Connecticut Certification: 029 Mathematics (Grades 7–12 / Grades 4-12) required or NY equivalent to work toward certification reciprocity.
- Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and student-centered learning environment
