Job Summary
Design engaging lessons aligned with KIPP's academic vision and analyze student data regularly to inform instruction. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning while using culturally responsive management strategies. Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build strong partnerships and engage fully in weekly professional development. Maintain accurate records including attendance, grades, and behavior data. This full-time, exempt role supports a diverse student population across multiple Bay Area sites, contributing to a network dedicated to creating joyful, academically excellent schools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Hold a valid teaching credential in the subject of your desired role
- Be eligible for a General Education Limited Assignment Permit, Provisional Internship Permit, or Short Term Staff Permit
- CPR certification by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Ability to navigate school and classroom settings
- Ability to access and utilize technology
- Occasional lifting/carrying of equipment 1-20 lbs
- Physical agility to move self in various positions in order to execute duties effectively, which may include kneeling, walking, pushing/pulling, squatting, twisting, turning, bending, stooping and reaching overhead
- Stress of deadlines and normal work standards
- Ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives
