Job Summary
Conduct after-school and evening mathematics instruction for students across Richmond and Vancouver locations, tailoring strategies to diverse learning needs. Develop AP/IB preparatory materials and coach competitive mathematics contest material where relevant. Maintain on-call availability with potential weekend coverage, adjusting schedules based on student demand during holidays. Requires Bachelor's degree, BC teaching certification, and 2–3 years of teaching or tutoring experience. Candidates must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area and be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in the relevant subject area
- Possession of a valid BC teaching certification or its equivalent
- Applicants must currently reside in the Greater Vancouver Area
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- Preference given to candidates familiar with the BC curriculum, AP, IB, SAT, SSAT, and experience coaching or teaching competitive Mathematics contest material
- A minimum of 2–3 years of teaching or tutoring experience
- Experience in developing AP/IB preparatory materials
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs
