Job Summary
Math Teacher responsible for planning, organizing and presenting instruction and instructional environments that help students learn the subject matter and skills, following the district's instructional framework, monitoring student performance with diagnostic information, providing instructional feedback, maintaining orderly class time, and communicating with students, co-workers, parents, and the community in a fair and equitable manner. The role includes coordinating and directing activities of teacher assistants, adhering to laws and district policies, and pursuing continuous professional growth; requires a degree in education and licensure qualification per the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction; salary is State Salary Schedule plus local supplement; location is Elizabeth City, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in education or a related field that will qualify for licensure as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in the area required
- Licensure/Certification for teaching in North Carolina (per NC DPI)
