Job Summary
Meet and instruct mathematics classes at designated times while planning a program of study that meets individual student needs. Create and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, guide the learning process toward curriculum goals, and establish clear objectives for lessons and projects. Maintain accurate records as required by law, ensure good order and discipline, and attend staff and department meetings. Work to establish open lines of communication with administration, colleagues, parents, and students, and perform other necessary duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid degree from an accredited college or university
- Current Washington State Teaching Certificate with proper endorsements
- Have or can obtain clearance from Washington State Patrol and FBI background check
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in appropriate endorsement area
- Three to five years teaching experience in appropriate area
- Multiple areas of endorsement in secondary grade levels
- Familiar with Common Core Standards and SBAC Assessments
