Job Summary
Math Teacher delivers mathematics instruction to students, develops lesson plans and instructional materials, and provides individualized and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to student needs. Uses varied strategies (inquiry, group discussion, lectures, discovery) to facilitate learning; translates lesson plans into effective learning experiences; maintains classroom standards and behavior; evaluates students’ progress and reports findings; communicates with parents about student progress; collaborates with staff to support student health, attitude, and learning needs; creates an engaging learning environment with displays and centers; participates in curriculum development and school initiatives; administers group standardized tests and supports ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university or college required.
- Pennsylvania Teacher’s Certificate required.
