Job Summary
Plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students while guiding the process toward curriculum goals. Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects, then communicate these to students and parents. Prepare for assigned classes, monitor and evaluate student outcomes, and develop instructional plans to meet diverse needs. Maintain accurate records, supervise students in various settings, and actively participate in advisory programs. Communicate regularly with families, staff, and the community to support student progress. Work within the Pawtucket School Department's framework to foster intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development for every individual.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RI Teaching License in Secondary Math (grades 7-12)
- All Grades MLL Certifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Instructional techniques

- Managing classroom procedures and behaviors
- Organizes physical space to create a safe, accessible, and resource-rich environment
- Preparing and maintaining accurate records
- RTI (Response to intervention)
- PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support)
- Cultural competency
- Subject area, grade level, and or credential area of teaching (e.g. special education, math, science, physical education, etc.)
- Conflict resolution
- Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups
- Able to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office, school based staff, students, parents and the community
- Work with data of varied types and/or purposes; and utilize job-related equipment
- Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans
- Meeting deadlines and schedules; working as part of a team
- Reflective practitioner; strives to maintain and improve professional competence
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years teaching experience
