Job Summary
Provide on-site technical assistance to teachers and administrators in mathematics, focusing on in-class and one-on-one support while keeping records of teacher progress. Assist in developing district professional development plans, analyzing data to determine student achievement goals, and designing appropriate staff development. Plan instruction with grade-level teams, monitor instructional delivery, and serve as a member of the school leadership team and district committees. Offer extensive knowledge of the Multi-Tiered System of Support and Response to Intervention Process, while assisting with summer school guidelines and program material preparation. This 11-month role requires a valid Mississippi teaching license and three years of classroom experience, reporting to the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mississippi teaching license
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional classroom experience
- Outstanding performance as a classroom teacher
- Exemplary written and verbal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in School Administration or National Board Certification
- Strong leadership skills
- Peer observation, coaching, mentoring and conferencing skills
