Job Summary
Math Intervention Specialist provides programming, instruction, and curriculum for grades K-12 students identified as at-risk of not succeeding; mentors teachers, contributes to building IB framework for implementation, and develops individual intervention plans based on data to support learning gaps. Responsibilities include teaching and team-teaching, after-school tutoring, collaborating with grade-level teams, identifying at-risk students, and monitoring and adjusting intervention programming. Requires establishing plans to support student success, adherence to safety and reporting mandates, and ability to work within school policies; Phased responsibilities include supporting IB framework in classrooms and mentoring teachers. Minimum starting salary is $63,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university required
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience in core areas; reading, learning disabilities/emotional and behavioral special education preferred
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
