Job Summary
Provide academic instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula, delivering basic direction and assistance in designated areas. Motivate and counsel students regarding behavior, training, and study habits while coordinating with staff to resolve issues. Develop and prepare lessons, recommend curricula changes, and utilize workplace language to relate academic skills to career technical training. Review and audit assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness, preparing related reports. Full-time, 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday at the Clearfield Job Corps Center in Clearfield, UT.
Required Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- experience/ certified in HSE/HSD and/ or Math
- One (1) year instructional experience
- experience with youth
- communication/computer proficiency
