Job Summary
Conduct professional-level instruction for GED preparation, TABE reading and math classes, and high school diploma programs, while also teaching social skills, employability skills, and project-based learning. Manage the classroom environment and discipline, maintain accurate attendance records, and monitor active trainee engagement through lesson planning and observations. Evaluate and record student progress in CIS, deliver necessary accommodations, and complete required weekly reports and staff training. Participate in weekly center and departmental meetings, model workplace behavior, and ensure a clean, safe environment including active shooter and fire drills. Deliver quality customer service and assist with student retention while adhering to all corporate policies and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
- Certified to teach in state in which center is located
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, groups of managers, students, and the general public
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw related conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram terms, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
