Plan a program of study meeting individual student needs and interests; establish curriculum objectives and guide the learning process toward achievement of goals. Create a conducive classroom environment, employ appropriate instructional methods, and assess student accomplishments regularly while diagnosing learning strengths and weaknesses. Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents; assist administration in implementing policies governing student life and conduct; and plan, supervise, and evaluate assignments for support personnel and volunteers. Maintain accurate records, use technology in teaching, and perform Medicaid administrative claims activities. Recognize indicators of student distress or abuse and take appropriate action based on school procedures and law.
