Job Summary
Secondary Teacher (grades 6-12) responsible for instruction of designated math content in a secondary school. Designs and implements standards-aligned instruction, creates a positive learning climate, delivers rigorous lessons, utilizes diverse teaching practices to meet student needs, monitors and reports on student performance and attendance, maintains appropriate records, manages behavior with effective strategies, communicates with parents and school personnel about student progress, and adheres to health and safety precautions. Requires ongoing professional development hours and appropriate certifications (Florida Temporary Certificate eligibility; Florida Professional Educator Certificate preferred). Duties may evolve with district needs. Emphasizes clear communication, data-informed instruction, and equitable teaching practices.
