Job Summary
Secondary Math teacher (grades 6-12) responsible for designing and implementing instruction in designated content areas in a classroom setting within the district. Responsibilities include designing lessons aligned to state standards and district curriculum, creating a positive learning climate, delivering rigorous lessons to maximize student engagement and achievement, employing diverse instructional practices to meet diverse student needs, assessing and monitoring student performance, managing classroom behavior, communicating with parents and district personnel, ensuring student health and safety, maintaining confidential records, pursuing necessary certifications and professional development hours, and performing other duties as assigned. Proficiency in math concepts (including probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry), ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical scenarios, strong communication skills, and competency with relevant computer software are expected. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate preferred; eligibility for Florida Temporary Certificate required. Equal opportunity statement included.
