Job Summary
Maternity & Pediatrics Registered Nurse (RN) - Per Diem responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for the Maternal/Child Health team (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Pediatrics, and Level II Nursery) at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. The role includes monitoring and documenting patient condition, coordinating transfers and discharges, educating patients and families, delegating care to ancillary staff, and potential precepting of student nurses and new hires. Requires active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain promptly; Mother/Baby, Level II or Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred. Demonstrates excellent teamwork, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications
- Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain one
- Mother/Baby, Level II or Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
