Job Summary
Provide diagnostic studies, treatment, and support to high-risk obstetric patients by performing specific tests as ordered by providers. Assure accuracy of test results, reports, and equipment through a thorough understanding of procedures and techniques. Perform variety of OB procedures including required endovaginal scanning, while maintaining tact and diplomacy with patients and physicians in pressure situations. This per diem role involves varying shifts Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, typically 1–3 days per week. Candidates must be ARDMS registered in OB with 4–5 years of experience in OB sonography, with Nuchal Translucency certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- ARDMS registered in OB
- Endovaginal scanning skills
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Must be able to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARDMS accredited school of ultrasound
- Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification
- 4-5 years of experience in OB sonography
- Experienced in high risk OB ultrasounds
- Previous experience in an outpatient medical or Perinatology Clinic
- Passion in high-risk perinatology
- Full knowledge of the indications, contraindications, and hazards associated with procedures
- Ability to perform variety of OB procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with patients and physicians in pressure situations while maintaining tact and diplomacy
