Job Summary
Provide antenatal care and consultation services for select high-risk obstetric patients at Inova Fairfax Hospital or Inova Alexandria Hospital. Participate in a practice model where the MFM group provides delivery services for select high-risk pregnancies, supported by a dedicated hospitalist program for after-hours and weekend call. Engage in a team-based, multidisciplinary care model alongside OB/GYN generalists, neonatology, and genetic counseling teams. Contribute to clinical excellence, patient safety, and innovation in high-risk obstetric care within a nationally recognized women's health team. Opportunities include academic and teaching activities with medical students, residents, and fellows.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution
- Board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Board certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Successful completion of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program
- Fellowship trained in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
- ACLS
- Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors
- Ability to enroll as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
- Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership
- Appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
Desired Qualifications
- Two years practicing as a maternal fetal medicine physician
