Job Summary
Provide inpatient and outpatient care to high-risk obstetric patients requiring intensive care management, including consultative and co-management for pregnant and postpartum patients. Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based critical care protocols for obstetric patients and build a joint Maternal-Fetal Medicine-Critical Care fellowship program. Develop tele-critical care capacity to extend expertise across UNC Health's regional network while educating medical students, residents, and fellows. Participate actively in the division's research mission, including epidemiologic studies and the NICHD Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network. Join a well-resourced division of 20+ physicians dedicated to patient care, education, and research within Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified/Board Eligible/Active Candidate in OB-GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Completion of both a 4-year ACGME approved OB-GYN residency and a 3-year ABOG approved fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Critical Care Fellowship or equivalent clinical experience in critical care medicine
- Demonstrated competence in maternal medicine, prenatal diagnosis, and the management of critically ill obstetric patients
- Commitment to excellence in medical education, quality improvement, and health equity
