Job Summary
Maternal-Child Nursing course faculty role in Wichita, KS. Part-time clinical instructor responsible for implementing curriculum and course objectives through on-site clinical teaching with partnerships, typically 12-hour rotations (7a-7p) for 3–4 consecutive days. Responsibilities include autonomous teaching, planning clinical experiences, supervising and evaluating nursing students, providing remedial guidance, maintaining knowledge of agency policies, developing written assignments, grading, and possibly teaching didactic content under supervision. Requires a master's or doctoral degree in Nursing, an unencumbered KS RN license, IL nursing license before clinical contracts, and at least two years of recent instructional RN experience; COVID vaccination may be required at partner sites. Encouraged to demonstrate passion for nursing education and strong communication skills; opportunity to contribute to student learning and program outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Kansas
- Illinois nursing license will be required before accepting any clinical contract for a given session
- At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse
