Job Summary
Maternal-Child Nursing course instruction in a part-time clinical faculty role. Responsibilities include implementing the college curriculum and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the college, community, health system, and profession; planning clinical experiences; direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students; providing remediation and timely feedback on student performance; maintaining current knowledge of agency/clinical policies; developing and posting clinical assignments aligned with student learning needs; grading homework, quizzes, tests, lab work, and clinical paperwork; potential didactic teaching under supervision; collaborating with course coordinator and college administration to improve operations and student satisfaction; contributing to program development and program assessment; serving as a professional role model; and maintaining licensure requirements (including Illinois licensing for certain courses). Preferred candidates will have strong communication skills, passion for nursing education, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. The opportunity is a Campus-based, part-time Visiting Professor role with pay per assignment.
Required Qualifications
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Oklahoma
- At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse
- Illinois RN License will be required to teach all courses (course assignments prioritized to professors who are currently licensed in Illinois)
- Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Campus: In support of pay transparency laws, compensation range provided per assignment
