Job Summary
Perform a variety of test procedures to evaluate the quality of construction materials including soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, stone, and masonry. Work alongside an experienced CMT Testing Technician to receive on-the-job training for this entry-level position. Adhere to all applicable ASTM test methods while maintaining attention to detail and following written and verbal instructions. Monitor sounds for changes in machine function and handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 80 pounds, standing, and crawling. This role supports Bowser-Morner's commitment to reliable, repeatable, and timely testing for roads, bridges, and buildings, helping to validate material quality and reduce project risks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities when needed
- Flexibility and willingness to modify schedule as required to meet deadlines
- Need to work well as a team member
- Need to be detail oriented and organized
- Visual accommodation necessary for reading instructions/materials necessary to perform functions of job
- Ability to monitor sounds for changes in machine function
- Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, reach overhead, bending, crawling, climbing; lift minimum of 80 pounds
