Job Summary

Conduct specialized, destructive tests to evaluate the strength, durability, and chemical composition of advanced aerospace and industrial materials. Set up and calibrate laboratory instrumentation, then operate tools such as band saws, grinders, and polishing machinery to prepare samples for analysis. Perform customized evaluations including tensile, metallography, stress, creep, composite, fracture, and corrosion testing while maintaining meticulous digital and physical records of results. Organize and clean the testing laboratory environment to ensure safety and operational readiness. US citizenship is strictly required, with initial training occurring on daylight shifts before rotating through day, evening, night, and weekend schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to stand, sit, or move around the lab floor for prolonged periods
