Materials Test Lab Technician I

Performs materials test lab tasks including fabrication of test coupons using basic machining practices, operating hydraulic platen presses and ovens, data analysis, instrument calibration/maintenance, and general lab upkeep. Reads blueprints/drawings and test method specifications; records data and ensures lab safety. Preferred candidates may have AA/BA/BS in engineering or automotive programs and experience in aerospace/defense composites environments. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to perform moderate physical/ repetitious work in a fast-paced, hands-on lab setting.
