Job Summary
Perform mechanical materials testing in a laboratory setting using electromechanical and servo-hydraulic test machines to conduct tests per ASTM and NASA standards; calibrate laboratory equipment per ISO 17025; collaborate with engineers/scientists, communicate testing progress to customers, and resolve operational issues while contributing to test method development and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED or equivalent; and at least 5 years of experience, or an Associate’s Degree.
- Experience operating in a mechanical materials test lab.
- Experience with MTS and Instron material test system operation and test method development.
- Must be well-versed with ASTM standards.
- Must be a US Citizen and have a STAR ID.
