Job Summary
Conduct construction-related field tests for concrete, masonry, soil, and asphalt, including density testing and quality control inspections. Transport equipment and specimens to field sites, laboratories, and clients while relaying data to project managers and engineers. Enter daily observation and summary reports electronically, read construction plans, and follow standard operating procedures. Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working in varying weather conditions across SW Pennsylvania and surrounding regions. Requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight or weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods while working in varying weather conditions and terrain
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel within the reporting office area and surrounding regions as required by project assignments
- Ability to travel, primarily within surrounding states
- Minimum of one year of experience performing concrete, masonry, soil, and asphalt testing and inspections
Desired Qualifications
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification
- Nuclear Gauge User Safety Certification (NEPA, FERC, or equivalent)
