Job Summary
Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, identification, and documentation against purchase orders and specifications. Maintain material traceability, lot control, and status identification throughout the manufacturing process while issuing materials to production in accordance with work orders. Perform inventory transactions accurately within the ERP/MRP system and conduct all inventory counts and reconciliation activities. Identify, label, and segregate nonconforming or suspect materials per established procedures and coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to resolve discrepancies. Actively participate in and maintain 5S standards on the production floor. This role supports manufacturing operations in Bozeman, MT, ensuring compliance with ISO quality management systems and ITAR regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in materials handling, inventory control, or logistics within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read work orders, travelers, and basic engineering documentation
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or equivalent)
- Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training or associate degree
- Experience with precision materials (silicon/germanium)
- Working knowledge of inventory control, material traceability, and lot control principles
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems
- Understanding of ITAR requirements related to material handling and export-controlled items
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and barcode or inventory tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
